Myers Parrot

Originally from Africa, these parrots are very sweet.  Many people feel the Myer's Parrot is nature's sweetie.  Small, quiet, and mild tempered, the Myer's Parrot makes a good first family pet.  Although a Myer's parrot can adopt a 'favorite' in general they work well with multiple people, unlike other African parrots which typically enjoy the company of one companion.  Myer's Parrots can live up to 30 years with proper care.  

Myer's are generally quiet and work well in apartment buildings.  They enjoy being pet and having a loving relationship with their family.

Marlene Says:  Myer's are beautiful, gentle, and great with children.  Although they come in a small package, they are just as playful and loving as a larger parrot but lack much of the attitude.  These are a great first parrot and can be much less temperamental than a Cockatiel.
