Senegal
Senegals are one of the most common companion parrots in the united states. Originally from Africa they come with many common traits to African birds. They are sensitive, vocal, and absolutely adorable. Senegals live for 30-40 years on average.

Marlene Says: Senegals make great family members. They are vocal, but not considered as loud as a conure. On the other hand, their attitudes are somewhat different and they are less cuddly than other small birds such as Conures and Caiques. These birds require daily attention and is extremely important to adapt to their sensitivity. You should never yell at any bird, but Senegals, like African Greys, are less likely to ever forgive your mistakes.
